I finally completed the second part of the last comic. The mystery of the hanging creatures is explained...

http://www.futurepig.com/fut058.html

I'm finding this harder every day. With all the economic and health problems it's hard to find inspiration. I had to almost force myself to draw this one.

Most this page is dialogue, so I needed to make it interesting. Just drawing the guy talking again and again was boring. So I made him explain the planet's history with some kind of slide show.

The theme of the self-destroying civilization comes back to my comic. The previous one was about rejecting technology... this one is about embracing technology a little too much.

Wow, that is great!!  I agree that pages with lots of dialogue can be tedious to draw, but this is a scene of central importance to the story!  And it came out even cooler than the ideas we discussed months ago.

I especially like the part with the arrows pointing to the different sensory input devices.

I also like the way that this differs from the Matrix.  Instead of everyone connected, but not knowing it, these aliens are willfully and intentionally putting themselves "online".

Sorry to hear you are still dealing w economic and health issues.
Anything we can help with?

What can I say, Pavel... it continues to be a great comic, and the social commentary is something that would be found straight out of a good Star Trek episode!  I love this, and eagerly await for more!   Meruko's contorted (conspiring?) face at the end is a little unnerving. A little more to this guy than what seems?   wink

I don't want to reveal too much until the new page is ready. Working on it...  :pig1

I know we already had a long discussion about this page and your comic in general, but let me just re-state.... your stuff is awesome and this page is done very well.  You balanced out the dialogue and art perfectly.  Bravo!
